Russian missiles hit Ukraine’s second largest city. At least 17 people were injured.
Russian hovering missiles struck Kharkiv on Sunday, injuring at least 17 people.
Around twenty buildings, vehicles and a medical center were damaged according to the local prosecutor, who opened an investigation for “violation of the laws of war.”
Russia seems to be focusing on Kharkiv
Kharkiv, a predominantly Russian-speaking city, is located just 40 kilometers from the Russian border. In recent days, it has been increasingly attacked, fueling fears that it could become a privileged and therefore strategic target of the Russian military campaign in the near future.
On the eastern front, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its troops had taken control of the village of Ocheretyne, in the Donetsk oblast. It is located very close to the town of Avdiïvka taken in February.
This victory is a new sign of the push of Moscow’s forces against the Ukrainian army, still lacking ammunition and equipment for several weeks.
