Algeria announces the departure of Belmadi after his new early elimination

Rumor had it that he had announced his departure to the players in the secrecy of the locker room after Algeria’s defeat against Mauritania. The president of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) confirmed on Wednesday January 24 the departure of coach Djamel Belmadi, the day after his elimination from CAN 2024.

“I met with national coach Djamel Belmadi to discuss the implications of this bitter elimination, and we reached a friendly agreement to end our relationship and terminate the contract that binds the coach to the Algerian Football Federation,” indicated the boss of the FAF, Walid Sadi, on his X account
