The United Nations Rose for Human Rights in Palestine, Francesca Albanizi, complained about the sanctions imposed by the American administration, and said it was damaged by it, and it is “very dangerous.”
The presenter indicated that the inclusion of its name on the US sanctions list is “very dangerous”, and that the use of sanctions is a political tool that may be “devastating”.
She added: “The sanctions will harm me, what can I do?
Earlier, the United States of America, UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres, called for the dismissal of Albanizi from her position.
The permanent American mission to the United Nations called in a statement in early July, to condemn Albanizi and dismiss her from her post, claiming that she recently made her speech “anti -Semitic” and “hostile to Israel”.
The mission added, in a statement, that “if such a step is not taken, this will not only harm the credibility of the United Nations, but will push the United States to take action by itself,” the mission added, in a statement.
On July 9th, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the list of Albannesi on the list of sanctions on its efforts to push the International Criminal Court to take measures against the United States and Israel.
The next day, the United Nations Human Rights Council’s Special Procedures Committee strongly condemned the US resolution to impose sanctions on Albanizi.
