These anti-drug operations were carried out in several cities across the country as well as in the capital Tirana. Tirana Police Director Muhamet Rrrumbullaku said members of seven criminal gangs are among the suspects.
For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, stressed that action against traffickers who sell narcotics will continue.
The minister also warned that priority was given to the safety of students in schools and the fight against traffickers.
