The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, mourned 5 of its members who were martyred while preparing ambushes targeting the occupation forces in the West Bank, while security leaders in Israel warned that the West Bank is on the brink of explosion.
Saraya Al-Quds explained that 5 of its members were martyred in an Israeli raid while preparing ambushes and explosive devices targeting the occupation forces in Tubas, north of the West Bank. It added, “We mourn the martyrs of the five Tubas Battalion from the Manufacturing and Engineering Unit, and we affirm our commitment to the path of jihad until liberation.”
Yesterday, the Al-Quds Brigades mourned 3 of its fighters who were martyred in an Israeli raid while confronting the occupation forces’ storming of the city of Tulkarm and its camp.
Thousands of Palestinians today buried the bodies of 10 citizens who were martyred by Israeli occupation forces during a military operation in the Tubas and Tulkarm governorates. The mourners chanted slogans affirming the continuation of the resistance and supporting it.
On Thursday evening, the Israeli army withdrew from the cities of Tulkarm and Tubas in the northern West Bank, after carrying out military operations in the first city that lasted 3 days and the second that lasted 2 days, leaving behind widespread destruction.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Tubas announced the implementation of a qualitative operation in which soldiers of the occupation army were killed and wounded. The Brigades said in a statement that it had “encountered a Zionist force in a tight ambush near the Muslim Diwan from point zero with machine guns, confirming that members of the force were killed and wounded.”
On the other hand, the Israeli newspaper Maariv said that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and the heads of the security services warned in a government session this week that the West Bank is on the brink of explosion.
She added that Galant and the security leaders “confirmed that they are facing a dangerous security escalation that will lead to the killing of hundreds in Israel.”
In parallel with its war on Gaza, the Israeli army expanded its operations in the West Bank, while settlers escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property, resulting in 703 Palestinian martyrs, including 159 children, in addition to 5,700 wounded, and more than 10,400 detainees, according to official Palestinian institutions.
