The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), revealed that it targeted a settlement near Tulkarm, while the occupation forces stormed several cities and towns in the West Bank and arrested more than 25 Palestinians since yesterday evening.
Al-Qassam in Tulkarm camp claimed responsibility for targeting the Beit Hefer settlement, west of Tulkarm.
She said that this operation comes in response to “the massacres committed by the occupation in the besieged Gaza Strip.” The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that army forces began inspections at the site.
In the same context, Israeli Channel 12 quoted a settler as saying, “Life in the Tulkarm area became scary after October 7.”
Intrusions
The occupation forces also stormed several villages and towns in the West Bank, where they stormed the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, and the town of Sarra, west of Nablus, and detained 4 students and beat them before releasing them.
The occupation soldiers stormed the school and detained the administration staff in one room. They violently arrested the students and assaulted them during the arrest. They also beat one of the teachers under the pretext of filming the arrest process.
Also in Nablus, a number of Palestinians suffered from poisonous gas suffocation during confrontations that broke out with the occupation forces when they stormed the village of Madama, south of the city.
The occupation forces also arrested a Palestinian woman at a military checkpoint near Nablus, and arrested an anesthesia and resuscitation technician at the Martyr Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm from an ambulance while transporting a patient.
In conjunction with the war on Gaza, the Israeli occupation army expanded its operations in the West Bank, which led to the death of 519 Palestinians, the injury of about 5,000, and the arrest of about 8,890 others, according to official Palestinian data.
Conditions of prisoners
In a related context, the Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced that Israeli forces arrested at least 25 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank from yesterday evening until this morning.
Regarding the conditions suffered by prisoners in the occupation prisons, the Prisoners’ Club revealed a large and unprecedented increase in the number of people suffering from skin diseases, specifically scabies.
Scabies is considered one of the most dangerous contagious skin diseases, and the prisoners were infected with other contagious skin diseases whose nature they did not know.
The Palestinian Club explained that the occupation is transferring those infected with contagious diseases in prisons from one section to another with the aim of increasing the number of infections, and that among those infected are children.
