The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that it had carried out a complex operation east of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, while the Israeli occupation army announced the killing of two officers and the wounding of others.
Al-Qassam explained that one of its fighters blew himself up with an Israeli force of 5 soldiers, leaving its members dead and wounded.
It also said that its fighters were able to snipe two soldiers in another force that advanced towards Tal al-Zaatar, noting that that force was targeted with Zionist-made hand grenades.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced the destruction of an occupation military vehicle during its incursion south of Al-Awda Towers in Beit Hanoun.
On the other hand, the Israeli army announced that two officers with the rank of major were killed and an officer and a soldier were seriously injured in battles in the central and northern Gaza Strip.
On the other hand, the military spokesman for the Israeli army said that army units destroyed an underground tunnel extending dozens of meters in the Jabalia area, a building used to manufacture explosives, and a number of weapons, vests, and military equipment belonging to the Hamas movement.
The Gaza Strip has witnessed an escalation in attacks targeting occupation soldiers since it announced last October 6 the start of a new military operation in northern Gaza under the pretext of “preventing the Hamas movement from regaining its power in the region.”
Israel continues its war on Gaza for the 15th month in a row. More than 154,000 Palestinians have been martyred and injured – most of them children and women – and the majority of the infrastructure, including homes, schools and hospitals, has been destroyed.
