The Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced that its fighters destroyed 5 Israeli tanks and fired a missile at an Israeli helicopter, while the occupation army announced that it was continuing its sweeping operations and raids in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades explained that its fighters destroyed “4 Zionist Merkava tanks with a number of high-explosive devices in the advance axis, east of Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.”
A short while ago, Al-Qassam said, “We targeted a Zionist Merkava tank with a stun device east of Al-Saftawi Street, west of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.”
The Al-Qassam Brigades had also announced that its fighters were able – in conjunction with fighters from the Al-Nasser Brigades – to launch a SAM missile towards an Israeli Apache helicopter, which was flying in the airspace of the Bureij refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army said that it had carried out an attempt to intercept a missile launched from the center of the Gaza Strip at Kibbutz Be’eri, on the border of the Gaza Strip, indicating that it was examining the results of this attempt.
Israeli Army Radio said that Hamas militants in Gaza fired a surface-to-air missile at an Israeli helicopter in the Strip, causing sirens to sound in its shell.
The occupation army added that it monitored the launch of two rockets from the northern Gaza Strip, one of which landed near Kibbutz Niram, and the other in an open area.
Yesterday, Thursday, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement – announced the bombing of the Holit settlement in southern Israel with a missile salvo.
Following the outbreak of the war, tens of thousands of Israelis left their homes in the settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip and those near Lebanon, and since then Israel has funded their stay in hotels and private residences.
They raid and comb
On the other hand, the Israeli army spokesman announced that the Givati Brigade forces, under the command of the 162nd Division, would continue fighting in the northern Gaza Strip, combing the Jabalia area, and raiding and destroying military infrastructure.
The army added – in a statement – that its forces carried out searches this week, including a building that was allegedly previously used as a school in Jabalia, and soldiers found inside it many weapons.
The army said that an armed cell was detected and eliminated, after it was trying to plant an explosive device a few meters away from its forces.
With absolute American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 154,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst Humanitarian disasters in the world.
Tel Aviv continues its massacres, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end them immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
