The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced the bombing of a gathering of occupation vehicles – west of the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip – with heavy-caliber mortar shells. Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the ongoing Israeli raids on Khan Yunis (south of the Gaza Strip) since dawn today have resulted in the martyrdom of 8 Palestinians.

The Palestinian resistance is engaged in violent clashes with the occupation forces in Khan Yunis, concentrated in the vicinity of the station area, Jalal Street, and Abu Hamida roundabout.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that violent Israeli artillery shelling targeted camps in the central Gaza Strip.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced renewed Israeli artillery shelling and shooting from marches in the vicinity of Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that there were people injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted the vicinity of the Jasser Building in Khan Yunis.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that, this Friday morning, ambulance and rescue crews recovered the bodies of two martyrs in the town of Zawaida in the central Gaza Strip, as a result of the occupation aircraft bombing citizens’ homes last evening.

Ambulance crews also recovered a number of wounded people from Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, coinciding with the continued occupation artillery shelling of the camp and east of Al-Bureij camp.

Bombardment from the sea

Meanwhile, the occupation warboats opened fire on the shores of the city of Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the continuation of air strikes and artillery shelling on the city.

In the south of the Gaza Strip, the bodies of 3 martyrs and 5 wounded arrived at Nasser Medical Complex, as a result of the occupation’s bombing of the Mawasi al-Qarara area.

The occupation aircraft launched violent raids on areas southeast of Khan Yunis, and sounds of explosions were heard as a result of the bombing in various areas of the Central Governorate.

The occupation forces announced air strikes on more than 100 Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.

Health officials in Gaza said that yesterday’s Israeli bombing led to the death of more than 20 Palestinians, including 16 in the city of Khan Yunis, in a coastal area in the south, crowded with residents who fled from other parts of the Strip. The officials added that among the martyrs were 9 children.

An air strike on Nuseirat

In a separate incident, health officials told Reuters that 5 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike on a car in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Gaza residents said that Israeli planes and tanks also bombed two other refugee camps, prompting many to head south.

Residents flocked from Al-Bureij, Al-Maghazi and Al-Nuseirat refugee camps yesterday after the attacks were launched on them, and some families rode donkey-drawn carts loaded with mattresses, luggage and children. The rain turned the ground into mud, adding to the suffering.

Residents of the central Gaza Strip said that at nightfall, Israeli planes and tanks intensified their bombing on the eastern side of the Al-Maghazi and Al-Nuseirat camps.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said that the total number of registered Palestinian martyrs reached 22,438 martyrs yesterday, or approximately 1% of the Strip’s population of 2.3 million people.
