The media network condemns “the assassination” of its correspondents and photographers of Gaza by Israeli forces.
You will find below the declaration of Tel Aviv Tribune Media Network on the murder of Anas Al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher and Mohammed Noufal.
Tel Aviv Tribune Media Network condemns in the strongest terms of the targeted assassination of its correspondents Anas Al Sharif and Mohammed Qraiqea, with the photographers Ibrahim al Thaher, and Mohamed Nofal, by the Israeli occupation forces in another flagrant and premeditated attack against the freedom of the press.
In a declaration of the Israeli force of occupation, admitting their crimes, journalists were targeted by an attack led to the tent where they were parked opposite the Al-Shifa medical complex in Gaza. In which they were martyred. This attack comes in the midst of the catastrophic consequences of the Israeli assault underway against Gaza, which saw the relentless massacre of civilians, forced famine and the erasure of whole communities. The order to assassinate Anas Al Sharif, one of the bravest journalists in Gaza, and her colleagues, is a desperate attempt to silence the votes exposing the crisis and the imminent occupation of Gaza.
While the media network of Tel Aviv Tribune farewells to another group of its best journalists, who boldly and courageously documented the fate of Gaza and its people since the start of the war, it has the Israeli occupation forces and the responsible government to deliberately target and assassinate its journalists. This follows incentives and calls repeated by several Israeli officials and spokespersons to target the intrepid journalist Anas Al Sharif and his colleagues.
Anas and her colleagues were among the last remaining voices of Gaza, offering the world an uncommon coverage and on the ground of devastating realities endured by his people. While the international media were prohibited from entering, Tel Aviv Tribune journalists remained in besieged Gaza, experiencing hunger and the suffering they have documented through their objectives. Thanks to a continuous and courageous living blanket, they delivered stories of eye witnesses to grasp unleashed horrors over 22 months of implacable bombing and destruction.
Despite the loss of several journalists to deliberate attacks and work under a constant threat, Anas Al Sharif, Mohammed Qraiqea, and their colleagues have persisted in the strip to ensure that the world sees the tearing truth felt by the population of Gaza.
While vehemently condemning these odious crimes and the attempts in progress of the Israeli authorities to silence the truth, Tel Aviv Tribune Media Network calls the international community and all the relevant organizations to take decisive measures to stop this in progress genocide and put an end to the deliberate targeting of journalists. Tel Aviv Tribune stresses that immunity for the authors and the lack of responsibility enhance the actions of Israel and encourage additional oppression against witnesses to the truth.
