Tel Aviv Tribune broadcast exclusive scenes of Ansar Allah targeting the Tutor ship with two attack boats in the Red Sea, as part of the Houthi policy – for months – of targeting ships heading to Israeli ports.

The scenes included the moment the first attack boat arrived at the ship, collided with it, and then exploded, followed by a similar attack by a second attack boat.

At the beginning of the video, the Houthi group indicated that it “banned the passage of ships to the ports of occupied Palestine on May 3, whether through the Red Sea or the Mediterranean Sea.”

The group noted that it “sent emails to shipping companies containing a warning and notification that they will be on the ban list if their ships enter the ports of occupied Palestine.”

It indicated that it included the companies whose ships entered Israeli ports, including the Greek company and its ship “Tutor,” which entered the port of Haifa on May 18 last year.

Two days ago, the crew of the Greek-owned ship broadcast scenes documenting the first moments of an attack launched by the Houthi group on their ship in the Red Sea.

The video scenes showed moments of tension between the ship’s crew after it was targeted and an attempt to deal with the event and make communications to inform the concerned authorities. The crew also documented their evacuation from the ship.

On June 12, the Houthis announced the targeting of the “Touter” ship in the Red Sea, in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The group said that it targeted the ship because the company that owned it violated “the decision to ban entry to the ports of occupied Palestine.”

In “solidarity with Gaza” in the face of the ongoing Israeli war since October 7, 2023, the Houthi group has begun, since November, targeting Israeli cargo ships or those linked to them in the Red Sea with missiles and drones.
