Military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Al-Falahi, believes that the Israeli occupation army wants to ensure that there are no threats against it in the West Bank, and therefore it extended its military operation in the Jenin camp in the northern West Bank.
The Israeli website “Walla” announced today, Wednesday, that the military operation that the Israeli army began in the Jenin camp a week ago was supposed to end yesterday, but it was decided to extend it by order of Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
In Colonel Al-Falahi’s estimation, the extension of the military operation in Jenin is for security purposes, and to ensure that there are no threats against Israel in these areas, noting that the military reinforcements carried out by the occupation army in the West Bank areas are related to the exchange of sectors.
Colonel Al-Falahi said – in an analysis of the military scene in Gaza and the West Bank – that the Israeli army is currently pushing sectors and withdrawing others from areas of the West Bank, especially in Jenin and Tulkarm, to ensure that they do not turn into areas that threaten Israel in the coming period.
He pointed out that the arbitrary measures taken by the occupation army, especially in the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank, such as preventing ambulances, preventing the movement of civilians, and destroying homes, are a punishment for the social incubator that embraces the resistance factions.
Colonel Al-Falahi confirmed that there are some Israelis, especially the extreme right, who are calling for opening the West Bank front, on the pretext that it is no different from the Gaza Strip, and that another October 7 operation could be launched from there, in reference to Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa.
The fighters of the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – and the rest of the factions are engaged in clashes with the occupation in the Tulkarm camp, and have killed and wounded soldiers, as Al-Qassam announced today, Wednesday.
It is noteworthy that the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of 33 citizens and the injury of 140 others by Israeli bullets since the beginning of the Israeli military operation in the occupied West Bank.
