Al-Duwairi pointed out that the resistance’s response came directly through limited ground clashes, and by launching missiles at areas surrounding the Gaza Strip, stressing that launching missiles at this particular stage “carries more political than military implications.”
Al-Duwairi adds that when the resistance targets the city of Tel Aviv, it is a very clear political message, as it coincided with the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and that launching rockets after the Israeli statements is – also – a message that the resistance still exists, given that launching rockets requires a system. Al-Duwairi pointed out that the size of the Israeli force that was deployed in this area is small, and the nature of the upcoming battle cannot be based on it. He said that it is “the beginning of the combat field contact with the resistance in the Deir al-Balah area, but the general plan has not yet become clear.”
