The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al -Duwairi, said that the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and its ability to continue to fight despite the harsh conditions is the main factor that prompted Washington to enter into direct talks with it, in an attempt to end the war.
Al -Duwairi added – during the paragraph of the military analysis – that the principle of negotiations stems from the crater of the gun and ends at the table, and had it not been for the presence of the gun, there would be a negotiation between the strong and the weak.
Al -Duwairi stressed that the presence of the resistance, especially in the recent periods of “breaking sword 1” operations, “breaking the sword 2”, and “doors of hell”, and the occurrence of losses and the emergence of voices from Israeli leaders talking about the inability of the occupation army to resolve the battle; They are all factors that made Washington move towards direct talks.
The Duwairi military expert pointed to the equation that prompted Washington to move, explaining that one of the main factors – if not the most important – is the resistance and its ability to continue fighting and suffer painful losses.
He explained that this field performance of the resistance was fastured by a feverish escalation by the occupation army, which may lead to the killing of the rest of the hostages.
Negotiation equation
Al -Duwairi indicated that the current equation is to continue to fight, not to kill the hostages, and not to give the occupation the ability to resolve the battle, and enter into a virtual circle, which pushed towards the talks.
However, the news is still in its beginnings, and does not give a full impression, as it talks about direct communication, a ceasefire, and the introduction of aid, but the details of the requests of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) when it turns out.

The military expert determined that the resistance owns two basic papers: the weapon paper and the hostage paper, and it is impossible to sacrifice either of them without reaching a ceasefire and withdrawal.
Netanyahu messages
On the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the expansion of military operations in Gaza despite the ongoing negotiations, Al -Duwairi explained that these statements are not directed at US President Donald Trump or the American administration, but rather are directed to his political base only.
He explained this by saying that it is not logical that Netanyahu has the audacity to challenge Trump in this particular period, so Trump is coming to the region and has a certain vision, and he comes as a businessman who seeks to achieve deals.
Al -Duwairi added that it is not imagined that Netanyahu invaded Gaza before the Trump plane landed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as he claims, and this could happen at least after the American President leaves, if Netanyahu is really firmly in his decision, but it is more likely that these are just messages addressed to the Israeli.
Israeli contradictions
Al -Duwairi pointed to the contradictions in the Israeli position, explaining that despite all the warnings, there is an invitation to a difference from the reserve forces to go to Gaza and the north, with promises to recruit 10 thousand and 500 soldiers within two years, and to provide financial and residential incentives for the reserve that joins the service.
Al -Duwairi considered that these measures represent a preparation for the war, but he stressed in return that the resistance is still steadfast, which indicates the continuation of the confrontation despite the ongoing negotiations.
