Al-Duwairi: The occupation lost 45% of its vehicles during the war, and the bombing of Tel Aviv will continue News

The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, said that the Israeli occupation army lost between 40% and 45% of its combat equipment during the war on Gaza, expecting the continued bombing of Tel Aviv if the Palestinian resistance wanted.

During his analysis of the military scene in Gaza, Major General Al-Duwairi indicated that the initial figures for the number of vehicles destroyed by the resistance in Gaza range between 1,400 and 1,500 vehicles, indicating that the armored division consists of 317 combat vehicles.

Al-Duwairi added that 5 military teams were destroyed if the destroyed vehicles were limited to tanks and combat vehicles, but it may be reduced to “4 teams+” if engineering bulldozers are included, while the numbers of dead and wounded by the Israeli army are exponentially greater than what it announces.

The military expert pointed out the existence of qualitative resistance operations and the intensity in their daily implementation, after a qualitative shift occurred in the management of the defensive battle.

Whereas the resistance plan was based on prevention and repulsion on the front lines of built-up areas, leading to a costly bill for both parties, it now – according to the military expert – depends on allowing the occupation army to enter and lure it, “so the Israeli losses in lives and equipment have increased.”

According to Al-Duwairi, the resistance needs to carry out one or more qualitative operations in one or more places – such as the recent capture operation in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip – in order to force the occupation army to withdraw from its current areas of incursion.

He added that the occupation directs its anger at displaced civilians or what remains of the infrastructure after every specific resistance operation, stressing that the Israeli army has not succeeded in winning a single battle against the resistance.

Bombing of Tel Aviv

Regarding the Qassam Brigades’ bombing of Tel Aviv for the first time in more than 4 months, Al-Duwairi said that in asymmetric wars, factions and armed groups always cause tactical, operational, and tactical surprises, and this is what actually happened during the Gaza War, unlike traditional armies that rely on the historical heritage and employ it to serve reality.

From Al-Duwairi’s point of view, there will be rounds of missile attacks towards Tel Aviv “if the decision maker wants,” adding that the decision to bomb must achieve harmony between the political and military sides of the resistance, stressing that the occupation army will not be able to stop it.

The strategic expert warned that the resistance had resorted in recent months to short-range “Rajum” or “107” missiles, but it surprised the occupation again with missiles towards Tel Aviv that were launched from tunnels and through an electrical system, 800 meters away from the nearest military presence of the Israeli army.

Major General Al-Duwairi concluded that the resistance’s capabilities remain an unknown black box, such as the numbers of Qassam fighters, the missile stock, the locations of the missiles, the method of launching them, and others.
