Military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, described the Israeli occupation army’s approach to destroying and bulldozing most of the streets of the city of Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank, as stupid and not based on military logic.
Al-Duwairi pointed out – during his analysis of developments in the occupied Palestinian territories – that the occupation claims that its approach to bulldozing streets aims to prevent the resistance from planting explosive devices on paved roads.
But Al-Duwairi says that using dug and bulldozed streets to plant explosive devices is better and more effective than placing them on paved roads, stressing that the occupation wants to destroy the foundations of life.
He referred to the occupation’s bulldozing of 80% of Jenin’s streets, and the destruction of electricity, water, communications and sewage networks, adding that “there are no red lines for the Israeli army, which commits all kinds of atrocities.”
Regarding the field developments in the West Bank, the military expert said that the resistance must move horizontally in terms of geographical expansion to include all the cities and camps of the West Bank, and vertically, such as the Tarqumiya operation west of Hebron, which he described as one of the qualitative operations that disturbs the occupation’s sleep.
He concluded that the horizontal and vertical expansion of resistance work in the West Bank is bearing fruit.
Three Israeli police officers were killed on Sunday morning in an armed attack on a car at the Tarqumiya checkpoint in Hebron. The Israeli army said the three dead security forces and police officers were on duty.
Regarding the announcement by the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – of the manufacture of locally made explosive devices, Al-Duwairi said that these manufacturing operations are divided into levels, some of which are used in the streets to detonate them with military vehicles.
As for the more accurate explosive devices, according to the military expert, they are used in booby-trapping operations and martyrdom operations, stressing that the resistance in the West Bank has experience in this, “and if it returns, it will turn the tables.”
The Al-Quds Brigades in the West Bank announced in a statement that it had entered a new phase of manufacturing and producing explosive devices, which it said “the enemy will see their effect on the ground.”
