Al-Duwairi on the Beit Hanoun ambush: It is beyond imagination and will be studied in colleges and special units | News

The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, described the complex ambush carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, as beyond imagination and will later be studied in higher military colleges, American and Chinese special units, and others.

Al-Duwairi explained – during his analysis of the military scene in Gaza – that the Qasami planning that took place, its patience and forward-looking vision for the next step “is beyond imagination,” stressing that the video speaks for itself.

He pointed to the symbolism of the place, as Beit Hanoun is the northern eastern corner of the Gaza Strip, which was subjected to intense bombardment, since the evening of the seventh of last October, and the occupation forces entered it by land, late in the same month.

The Beit Hanoun Brigade – 232 days after the Israeli ground incursion – is still active and able to control the rhythm of the battle, and has a forward-looking ability to determine the next steps. It also reads how the occupation army thinks, and is always one step ahead of it and more, according to Al-Duwairi.

The military expert reviewed the stages of the complex ambush, starting with anticipating the path of advance and detonating explosive devices against the occupation forces at the opening of one of the tunnels, then the period of anticipation and waiting for the rescue force to arrive and target them with a strobe device, all the way to sending a senior officer and his assistants and targeting them sniper-wise.

He praised the forward-looking reading of the Qassam fighters, as they expected the occupation forces to return to the tunnel opening again, where it was booby-trapped and then detonated, describing it in successive successive steps, “as if the planner is the one leading the enemy’s battle, and thinking with the mentality of the enemy commander.”

Regarding the readiness of the tunnel used in the operation, Al-Duwairi said that this proves that the information available about the tunnel network to all intelligence services is still “very limited, vague, and within the gray circle.”

The military expert praised the military operations carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades in Beit Hanoun in the north, and Juhr al-Dik in the east of the Central Governorate, and said that they bore special combat fingerprints.

He referred to the Qassam Brigades rehabilitating its brigades in the northern region after the extensive ground incursion, and limiting them to 8 brigades instead of 12, in a refutation of the Israeli statements to dismantle and eliminate them.

On Thursday evening, Tel Aviv Tribune broadcast exclusive scenes and new details of a boat ambush carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades, in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, late last May.

A Qassam commander told Tel Aviv Tribune that the ambush was carried out in 3 stages and lasted 26 continuous hours, stressing that the occupation forces advanced towards Beit Hanoun according to the path that the Qassam fighters had predicted in advance, before they were forced to stop their advance and withdraw from the axis completely.
