The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, in his daily military analysis, provided a reading of the field developments related to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, anticipating the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the areas witnessing violent fighting.
He said that the Israeli occupation forces entered Sheikh Ajlin in Gaza City in the first week of the ground battle, and 60 days after this battle, this area returned to the forefront in 3 specific resistance operations.
The Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – had previously confirmed that they had targeted an Israeli force on foot inside a building in the Sheikh Ajlin area with an anti-fortified TPG shell. He believed that the occupation army was on its way to retreating and withdrawing from the areas and neighborhoods witnessing intense fighting in Gaza, such as Jabal al-Rayyis, al-Tuffah, and al-Daraj, where the outcome of this fighting is the same as the outcome of the fighting in Jabalia and al-Shuja’iya camp.
He stressed that the fighting is still at its fiercest stage in the northern regions, and although Beit Hanoun has been razed to the ground, the occupation army is targeting it with aircraft.
As for the southern Gaza Strip, he talked about sharp battles between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation army, which pays a real tax there, and which withdrew part of its forces and sent them to the central and southern regions.
Al-Duwairi visited Khan Yunis – which Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said was focused on in terms of military operations – and provided details regarding the movements of the occupation forces in this vast area.
Al-Duwairi also spoke about the developments taking place in Rafah in the southern Palestinian Strip, stressing that this area is subject to systematic Israeli bombing, even though it is a safe area, as the occupation claims.
