Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi expected that the occupation army would launch a violent attack to destroy the Shaboura camp in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, in response to the operation carried out by the resistance on Monday, which led to the killing of an officer and 4 soldiers and the serious injury of 6 others.

Al-Duwairi said, during his analysis of the military scene in the Gaza Strip, that the occupation army is accustomed to committing violent massacres whenever it suffers a setback or achieves a tactical success, in the first out of revenge and in the second out of proof of victory.

After the occupation army admitted that an officer and 4 soldiers were killed, in addition to the serious wounding of 6 others, in the house bombing in the Shaboura camp, it is now planning to launch a violent attack on the camp, which prompted it to rearrange its forces to surround the place, Al-Duwairi says.

Avoid residential areas

The northern and northeastern regions will be the icing on the cake for the occupation forces in this operation. Because he avoids entering areas crowded with buildings, especially since he failed to enter similar areas in the past, in Al-Duwairi’s opinion.

The occupation army repositioned its forces at the Rafah crossing near Tal Zorob, where some vehicles withdrew from the eastern and western axes and headed towards the Shaboura camp in the east, according to what Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent Hani Al-Shaer confirmed.

Al-Duwairi suggested that the occupation forces would try to find temporary waiting places, but they would not storm the camp and would cause great destruction.

The resistance changed its performance

The military expert reiterated that the Shaboura ambush will not be the last, “because the occupation army is unprofessional from a military standpoint and has lost in most of the confrontations despite the large power difference in its favor due to its political and military leadership’s ignorance of the rules of asymmetric warfare,” according to him.

He explained that this type of war is resolved by matters that are difficult to measure and provide a decisive future reading on, stressing that the resistance improved its field performance during the months of war.

He said that if the resistance had continued the war in the same way it was operating at the beginning of the war, it would not have achieved the results it is achieving now, pointing out that it was excessive in the use of ammunition and direct confrontations in that period, while it now relies on luring the Israeli forces, allowing them to penetrate, and then trapping them through… Ambushes and booby-traps because they require less effort and produce more results.

He concluded that direct confrontations also achieve significant results, “but only when field conditions permit them in terms of the place of implementation and appropriate refuge.”
