Al-Duwairi: Displacement and destruction are the occupation’s achievement in Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah | News

Military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, said that the Israeli occupation army’s withdrawal of the 98th Division from Khan Yunis (southern Gaza Strip) and Deir al-Balah (central Gaza Strip) came as a result of the suffering the division faced in this area.

The Israeli army announced that the 98th Division had completed its mission in Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah, after a 22-day military operation. The army claimed in a statement that its forces had killed 250 Palestinians and destroyed 6 tunnels, 6 kilometers long, during this operation.

According to Major General Al-Duwairi, there was no military justification for the occupation army to penetrate Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah, because its generals acknowledged that there were no objectives that required the penetration. He pointed out that the achievement made by the occupation army was the displacement and destruction of the residential blocks of the Palestinians in the area.

Video clips showed extensive destruction in residential neighborhoods and infrastructure in the eastern areas of Deir al-Balah following the Israeli army’s withdrawal from the area.

Regarding developments in the West Bank, Al-Duwairi said that the situation in the West Bank is different from that in the Gaza Strip, because it is under occupation and has an army, settlers, and extremism.

The occupation army continues its military operation in the Jenin camp in the northern West Bank, claiming – as Al-Duwairi says – to have reached areas where explosive devices and explosives are manufactured.

The military and strategic expert added that the occupation army is conducting raids in the Jenin camp in an attempt to reach the Palestinian fighters, who are trying to confront it despite their limited weapons, which are individual weapons and explosive devices, as Al-Duwairi confirms.
