In a dark world in which moral values are absent, where there are no traditional heroes, Emori is the hero of the series “The Gardner” in a new Spanish drama presented by Netflix, and is directed to lovers of excitement and crime, as it provides a world of violence, and crime and killing are practiced as familiar daily actions.
Despite its classification in the romantic excitement category, the “gardener” is clearly inclined to the metodramatic character, especially in its consumption of complex human relations. The series reviews topics such as violence, identity crises associated with past shocks, emotional manipulation, and unconventional love, and at the same time raises deep moral questions about the nature of good and evil.
No love, fear, anger or anxiety
The series tells the story of “Elmer” (Alvaro Rico), who is silently working in his mother’s center, “Lacaina” (Cecilia Suarez) for planting plants, where he hides behind the flowers of flowers with a serious secret. In the secret, his mother runs a small rental killing company with the aim of collecting enough money to buy her mother’s old house in Mexico, who carries her childhood memories.

The crisis begins when Elmer falls in love with his next victim, Violetta (Catalina Superna), a kind kindergarten teacher, who also hides her own dark secrets, which puts him in a clash with his mother for refusing to implement the important, and at the same time he refused treatment and returning to his former era of uncontrolled and distant emptiness, which is the most important tool of his side work.
The events take place in light of the mother’s attempts to manipulate it with the definition and intelligence to force him to treat as well as killing, which coincides with the doubts that the police are afflicting towards them, threatening to expose their affairs and put them in prison.

Artistic reading in the dualism of violence and romance
The first thing that draws attention to the series “Al -Bustani” is his story that follows the development of Emor’s personality and the plot attempts to balance between emotion and realism in light of a bold and different scenario.
Among the other advantages of the work is his limited personalities and a few photography sites in proportion to a small city where events take place, which helped the viewer a sense of mixing between snooping and uncomfortable, as a lot of tension, anxiety and some condensation.
The scenario was also characterized by escalation and sudden developments, which kept keeping the viewer’s interest in raging, especially in light of the multiple layers of the story, with a realistic dialogue that tried to highlight the nature of the deep conflict with which the characters occurred and the extent of their psychological impact on them.
Visually, the director Miguel Cais Cural adopted a dark visual vision where dim lighting or dark and quiet colors that are in line with the nature of the story and the atmosphere and mystery. With resorting to studied angles and camera movements that lead to more anxiety and a feeling of uncertainty, and focus on facial expressions to convey the internal feelings that have the characters, the broader footage was also resorted to showing the surrounding environment that is the same as part of the ambiguity.
The soundtrack – which was represented in calm but influential tunes – also played its role as a major element that contributed to enhancing the influence of the scenes and feelings that convey it in proportion to events and personalities.
Finally, with the acting performance, the actors succeeded in embodying their characters and transferring their feelings, especially Alvaro Rico, who excelled in performing the isolated and cold character and conveying the conflicting feelings that the hero tests for the first time suddenly.
Suarez also excelled in the role of the manipulated and obsessed mother by controlling her son to achieve her goals, among the secondary actors who also built their roles Francis Lorenzo and Maria Vasquez, and the role of police investigators who added a refreshing class to the story.

As for the artistic faults, it varied between the plots of the plot that seemed to be somewhat exaggerated, such as the tumor that restores the hero the ability to feel as soon as Violetta appears in his life, as well as many events expected, which thwarted the pioneers of pure Spanish excitement who found themselves in front of a hybrid work of crime, romance and bodrama, which does not give them sufficient answers to the many questions that he asks.
Indications to return to a second season
The series “Al -Bustani” is one of the controversial excitement, as it is not satisfied with reviewing romantic love or relationships outside the framework of marriage, but rather deeply dive into the maternal love when it turns into a complex relationship, sometimes toxic, exceeding the limits of traditional motherhood to reach a form of pathological dependence and full control. As for the open end, which was drawn by the series’s makers, it came as an introduction to the possibility of a second season, especially with the emergence of new dramatic threads that suggest the beginning of a new chapter. However, Netflix has not yet issued any official confirmation of the renewal of the series, although the decision may be linked to the performance of views in the coming period.
