“Very soon there will be a decision on F-16s. We are increasing the number of aircraft available to Ukraine. Yesterday we got a decision on 5 more Patriots and dozens of other air defense systems for Ukraine, and today – a decision on aircraft” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said after his meeting with his allies.
This is the second Patriot system the United States has provided to Ukraine, and one of several announced this week by other NATO members.
This anti-aircraft weapon is to help Ukraine repel Russian attacks. A few days ago, Kyiv suffered one of the worst Russian attacks since the beginning of the war, which targeted a children’s hospital.
