Magda replies: “I got married to love”
The bride Magda assured the local newspaper “Al -Masry Al -Youm” that she married Muhammad after an engagement that lasted 8 months, and described their engagement as “happy”, adding: “I married him with my will without any pressure from anyone, and if I did not marry him, I would have ended my life.”
Magda denied that her tears during the wedding were evidence of her refusal to marry, stressing that her crying came as a result of her delay at the date of hairdressing and the absence of the wedding ceremony, noting that Muhammad is “a good man and cares about me, and gives me gifts constantly, and there is no defects.”
The groom’s father: Muhammad is the best of my children
For his part, the father of the bridegroom -who is called Abdel -Ati -told the local newspaper “The Seventh Day”, that Muhammad is the most beautiful and good sons, and works in the place of repairing the “Tok Tok” vehicles in the new city of Salihiya, and supported himself.
He explained that his son got to know Magda during his work, and an emotional relationship arose between them that turned into an official engagement that lasted for nearly eight months, before he was crowned with marriage.
He added that Muhammad was subjected to a medical examination before marriage, and the doctor confirmed that his condition is stable, stressing that he would not forgive those who caused the confusion over the joy of his son by publishing the video, which did not show the full truth.
Legal investigation: The bride is a minor and a customary marriage
The story of the newlyweds was not ended here, as the Egyptian Public Prosecution opened today, Wednesday, an official investigation into the incident, after a report submitted by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, in which he affirmed that the bride was a minor and the legal age of marriage, which is specified by 18 years.
The investigation showed that the marriage is customary, which is a matter of some families to document the marriage later after one of the two parties reached the legal age, which added a legal and judicial dimension to the controversial story.
Ifta: The condition of marrying the person with Down syndrome
For its part, the Egyptian Dar al -Iftaa issued a statement clarifying the legal position on marriage in such cases, and said that the marriage of a person with Down syndrome is legally permissible, provided that the staff of the contract is completed and the marriage is in his interest.
The house added, that mental disability does not prevent marriage, provided that those who take care of him take the decision to serve his interest.
