The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that sirens sounded in Ramla, Rishon LeZion, Nes Ziona, Sitria, Be’er Yaakov, Yashresh, Tel Aviv, Holon, and Lod.
This is the first time that rockets have been launched from the Gaza Strip towards central Israel since New Year’s Eve.
The Home Front Command of the Israeli occupation army said that more than 30 locations where sirens sounded following the launching of a missile salvo from the Gaza Strip towards the Gaza Strip and central Israel.
In turn, Israeli Army Radio said that it had monitored the launching of 8 missiles from the southern Gaza Strip, and that air defenses intercepted 3 of them, while 4 landed in open areas.
Magen David Adom said that it had not received any reports of casualties, noting that its teams had begun combing the area in search of missile remnants.
The Israeli occupation army had stated more than once that it had been able to limit the ability of the Al-Qassam Brigades to fire rockets from the Gaza Strip, which prompted the Minister of Education to issue a decision to return to schools in the Gaza Strip settlement schools, indicating that his decision was made based on the Minister’s statements. Yoav Galant and the Home Front Command stated that there is no security threat to these settlements.
