Activists: Israel is cutting off Gaza’s lifeline by occupying the Rafah crossing News

The news of the Israeli army storming the Rafah crossing from the Palestinian side topped the social media platforms in the Arab world and Israel, and the pioneers of the Arab virtual world asked many questions about the humanitarian conditions, the entry of aid, and the removal of the wounded to and from Gaza after the occupation took control of the Rafah crossing.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned the military operations in the city of Rafah and Israel’s control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing. It also warned that the Israeli operation in Rafah threatens efforts to reach a sustainable truce.

Followers commented on the clips of Israeli tanks entering the crossing, saying, “The Rafah crossing is the lifeline of Gaza, and it is the only one for the State of Palestine, and it was (subject) to Palestinian sovereignty. Our people paid their blood to obtain it. It has been reoccupied!!.

One of the bloggers pointed out that Gaza officially became tightly cordoned off from all sides after the occupation took control of the Rafah crossing, which allowed the exit and entry of some travelers, patients, and medical teams, and the exodus from Rafah began. But this time, the displaced do not know where to turn. “There is bombing everywhere, destruction everywhere, and siege from everywhere. Their limits are only the sky.”

Another blogger commented on the Israeli army’s storming of the Rafah crossing by saying, “The strongest army in the region’s military goal is to storm a land crossing through which civilians travel from Gaza to Egypt!! This is a defeated army that wants to achieve any image of victory in order to market it to its internal audience.”

Tweeters described the Israeli move as a show, saying that it would only bring more scandals to the occupation at the international level, but what surprised them was the silence of the countries of the world regarding these crimes and violations.

Activists drew attention to the fact that the occupation forces’ storming of the Rafah crossing from the Palestinian side establishes and confirms a set of important facts: the first is that Israel has clearly violated the peace agreement signed between it and Egypt (Camp David 1979), and has also clearly violated the security annex of the 2005 Philadelphia Agreement and finally the Agreement. Crossings 2005.

Another stated, “Israel stormed the Rafah crossing, the only crossing with Egypt. It took the image it wanted to promote to its blood-thirsty audience,” noting that there were very difficult scenes coming from Rafah of the bodies of a number of children turned into pieces, as a result of an Israeli bombing that led to entire families being erased from the record. Civilian attacks, as well as direct targeting of civilian homes.

The movement of passengers and the entry of aid have completely stopped, through the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings, into the besieged Palestinian Strip.
