The Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced the death of an Israeli prisoner due to the ongoing aggression on the northern Gaza Strip, and said that Israel must prepare to deal with the problem of the disappearance of the bodies of its prisoners.
Al-Qassam spokesman “Abu Ubaida” said – via his account on the “Telegram” platform: “After the return of contact that was interrupted for weeks with mujahideen charged with protecting enemy prisoners, it became clear that one of the female prisoners was killed in an area exposed to Zionist aggression in the northern Gaza Strip,” stressing that the danger “is no.” “He is still staring at the life of another prisoner who was with her.”
He added that the widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip and the martyrdom of some captives led to the disappearance of the bodies of some prisoners.
Abu Ubaida held Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom he described as a war criminal, and his government and army leaders “full responsibility for the lives of their prisoners,” and said that “they are the ones who insist on continuing to cause their suffering and death.”
This comes as Israeli media reported that dozens of Israelis went out in demonstrations in Rehovot, south of Tel Aviv, to demand a prisoner exchange deal.
