Gaza- “My land will return… by force it will return, victory is ours, my land will return… Palestine” is an excerpt from one of the national anthems sung by the talented child Abdul Rahman Ajouri, as displaced children gathered around him, in tents set up west of the city of Rafah, in the far south of the Gaza Strip. , on the border with Egypt.

Abdul Rahman (12 years old) was displaced with his family to the city of Rafah, like other hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip. He told Tel Aviv Tribune Net that “the Israeli aggression will not break our resolve, and we will remain steadfast on our land.”

This young man has a sweet voice, which he uses to recite the Holy Qur’an and sing national songs for children in the displaced persons’ tents, in order to strengthen their steadfastness, support them psychologically, and alleviate their burdens in light of a collapsed humanitarian and living reality.

Despite being subjected to a severe shock by losing what he describes as his “best friend” as a martyr in an Israeli air strike, Abdul Rahman shows determination far beyond his years, and says, “Thank God, we will continue to follow the same path.”
