Israeli warplanes launched a series of new raids on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, after a day that witnessed a record number of Hezbollah attacks on Israel.
The official Lebanese News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes launched 3 raids on the Haret Hreik area in the southern suburb of Beirut.
The raids come after threats made by the Israeli army spokesman in Arabic, Avigay Adraee, via the X platform, to bomb buildings in the area, claiming that they contain Hezbollah interests.
The Israeli army also continued its raids on other areas of Lebanon, including the city of Nabatieh and other towns in southern Lebanon and in the Bekaa Valley, east of it.
This coincided with Hezbollah announcing, for the first time since the start of the war, that it had launched 48 attacks on cities and military sites in northern Israel, targeting gatherings of soldiers and destroying six Merkava tanks, and confirming that it had caused deaths and injuries among the ranks of the Israeli army.
Israel Today newspaper said that Hezbollah announced today a record number of attacks against Israel, amounting to 47 announcements.

In details of the Israeli losses following the intense attacks by Hezbollah, the Israeli army announced the killing of two people in Majd al-Krum in Galilee, after 10 soldiers were killed and more than 20 others were injured in Lebanon within one day, which Israel described as difficult.
The Israeli army explained that the two people were killed as a result of fragments of an interceptor missile falling on a missile launched from Lebanon, while Israeli media said that the missile strike resulted in dozens of injuries in the town of Shumira, according to Israeli Army Radio.
On the same level, Maariv newspaper said that the people of the town of Majd al-Krum accuse the Israeli government of neglecting to provide the necessary fortifications and protection for the town, in light of the continued launching of rockets from southern Lebanon towards all areas of the Upper Galilee.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant described the killing of the Israeli soldiers as a difficult day, and Galant stressed that Israel must remain united in order to stand firm.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Israeli soldiers on the northern border are facing neglect and a lack of protection measures and armor.
The soldiers on the northern border stated that the government ignored their warnings and one of them was killed by a Hezbollah missile. They said that there are those who neglect the safety of the soldiers in the field for unclear reasons.
Meanwhile, the party published a series of statements about the outcome of its operations throughout the day.
Raids on southern Lebanon
On the other hand, several towns in southern Lebanon were subjected to Israeli raids, and the Lebanese News Agency announced that a person was killed in a car targeted by an Israeli drone on a public road in Tyre, southern Lebanon.
Earlier Friday, the Civil Defense in southern Lebanon said that 3 people were martyred in an Israeli raid on the town of Hasbaya in the south of the country.
In eastern Lebanon, the Civil Defense said that 6 people were killed and 12 others were injured in an Israeli raid on the town of Al-Khader in the Bekaa.

He added that two Israeli drones bombed the vicinity of the town of Bednayel in the Bekaa, eastern Lebanon, pointing to another Israeli raid on the beach of Ras al-Ain pools in the Tyre region.
Since last September 23, Israel has launched an expanded ground and air aggression against Lebanon, and is trying to penetrate its south, a year after border confrontations broke out in the wake of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
The aggression against Lebanon resulted in a total of 2,593 dead and 12,119 injured, including a large number of children and women, in addition to more than 1,400,000 displaced people. Most of the victims and displaced persons were recorded after September 23 of last year.
