The number of martyrs from malnutrition and dehydration in Gaza rose today, Saturday, to 37, after the death of the child Abdul Qadir Al-Sarhi inside Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, in light of an ongoing war and a severe blockade imposed by the occupation on the entry of aid and basic needs of the population.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the number of martyrs among its crews in Gaza rose to 33 martyrs, of whom 19 were martyred while performing their humanitarian duty.
Today, local Palestinian platforms also circulated pictures showing the damage of large quantities of food aid parked on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing in the southern Gaza Strip, due to the long waiting period and high temperatures, at a time when famine is worsening in the Gaza Strip.

Targeting services
On the other hand, Yahya Al-Sarraj, Mayor of Gaza, said that the military operations of the occupation forces systematically targeted municipal services and facilities in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Sarraj indicated – in an interview with Tel Aviv Tribune – that the services provided by the municipality no longer meet the required needs and meet the complaints of the residents, stressing that the municipality faces great challenges, the most important of which are the provision of water and sanitation services, waste disposal, and fuel scarcity.
The government media office in Gaza also said – in a press statement today, Saturday – that “there is no alternative to opening all of the Gaza Strip’s crossings and bringing in at least 1,000 aid trucks daily.”
He added, “The occupation forces committed atrocities in Jabalia and ambulance crews continue to recover the bodies of the martyrs,” noting that “the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza is getting worse and the population is out in the open after shelter centers were targeted.”
He pointed out that there is “a real famine in the areas of the northern Gaza Strip, and the population cannot find anything to satisfy their needs.”
He also made clear that any ceasefire agreement that does not include opening all of the Gaza Strip’s crossings is incomplete and will exacerbate the residents’ tragedy.
Targeting UNRWA
On the other hand, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that more than 170 facilities belonging to the agency were damaged or completely destroyed throughout the Strip.
The agency indicated that there is no safe place in Gaza, as displaced families continue to move in search of a safe haven from the war, but the danger and fear never stop, according to a statement by the agency.
It is noteworthy that the residents of Gaza are facing famine and an unprecedented humanitarian and health crisis, according to what international and international reports confirm, due to the continuation of the devastating Israeli war for the eighth month in a row, in light of official Israeli indifference to international demands and from the International Court of Justice to stop the aggression and bring aid into the besieged Strip.
