The military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, believes that the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip has changed many of its tactics in the ongoing confrontation with the occupation forces, and has an accurate reading of the theater of operations, which has caused an increase in the bill of losses among the ranks of the occupation.
As Colonel Al-Falahi explains – in an analysis of the military scene in Gaza – when the occupation army enters neighborhoods in Gaza, it seizes high buildings in order to control the rest of the homes and buildings, which is what caused the resistance factions to booby-trap many homes until they explode when they enter, which is what happened in Al-Tanour neighborhood, east of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced today, Saturday, that it had killed 15 Israeli soldiers after a group of its fighters stormed a house in which a large number of soldiers were barricaded and clashed with them from zero distance with machine guns and grenades, before detonating an anti-personnel device in the area. Al-Tanour neighborhood.
A few days ago, Al-Qassam also showed scenes that included the bombing of a house east of the city of Rafah that had been booby-trapped with occupation soldiers after making sure they had entered it.
The military and strategic expert notes that the Palestinian resistance is fighting with guerrilla warfare and without decentralization, which proves that Israeli incursions into cities and neighborhoods mean nothing. For example, the occupation army has penetrated into the northern region of the Gaza Strip, but today it returns to fighting in the Jabalia camp and elsewhere. Of the regions.
The strategy of the Palestinian resistance depends – adds Colonel Al-Falahi – on carrying out the operation and then moving from one place to another, to secure protection and to prepare another theater of operations for the confrontation with the occupation forces, which is what is currently taking place in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip and in Jabalia in the north.
On the other hand, when the occupation army faces fierce resistance that prevents the advance of its sectors, it withdraws these sectors back, and then resorts to aerial and artillery bombardment to destroy the area so that it can advance in it.
In the same context, the military and strategic expert explains that the resistance’s defensive tactics have not ceased in the Jabalia region through sniping operations, mortar shelling, and booby-trapping of houses to lure the occupation forces into direct confrontation.
Colonel Al-Falahi confirms that the occupation army was only able to penetrate Jabalia in a very simple way, and that its military operation in Rafah is proceeding slowly, although it is currently trying to penetrate residential areas.
