The Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority (an official body) quoted the occupation as confirming the news of the martyrdom of the resistance fighter Farraj (23 years old), after he was detained and taken prisoner despite his martyrdom.
Violent process
In a military operation described as “violent” by the occupation army and its special forces, the young man Farraj, one of the most wanted by the occupation, was martyred, according to his claim.
Speaking to Tel Aviv Tribune Net, Jamal Rayyan, an activist in Balata camp, said that the operation began with Israeli special forces besieging a wedding hall in the Al-Quds Street area, and then opened fire on the martyr who came to congratulate his sister on her wedding.
Rayan added that the occupation forces, using a large number of vehicles, rushed to storm the site and the Balata camp from several axes, and that widespread clashes took place in the camp between the occupation forces and the resistance fighters, and lasted for about two hours.
For his part, the spokesman for the Red Crescent Society in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, said that the occupation’s raid was “violent,” especially since it coincided with the period when citizens were returning to their homes after work. The army also surrounded a wedding hall in which dozens of citizens were present.
He explained to Tel Aviv Tribune Net that 10 citizens were injured, and the condition of two of them was described as very serious, “as a result of the occupation firing deliberately and directly at citizens with the intention of killing,” which left this large number of injuries, including a woman (53 years old) and a child (13 years old). .
According to Gabriel, the injuries were caused by live bullets, most of which were in the upper areas of the wounded’s bodies. The occupation army also obstructed the arrival of ambulances and opened fire on them in a warning manner, while it detained one of the Red Crescent vehicles and confiscated its crew’s cell phones before returning them.
A martyr is the son of a martyr
In a statement, the occupation army said, according to the Israeli Channel 7, that its forces – under the direction of the General Security Service, “Shin Bet” – surrounded an event hall containing a wanted person, in reference to the martyr Farraj.
The same source claimed that the martyr was armed, and tried to flee the place on the roof of the building after noticing the presence of members of the Special Forces, but they began shooting at him, which led to his martyrdom.
A video clip, broadcast on social media, showed the martyr Farraj lying on the roof of the aforementioned building, and then the occupation army was able to reach him and violently drag him away.
In the Hashshashin neighborhood inside Balata camp, the martyr Adam Salah al-Din Mansour Farraj was born. He is the younger brother of 4 children (2 females and 2 males). He grew up inside the camp, and in its schools he received his primary and secondary education. He did not complete his university studies, as he joined the labor market before the occupation arrested him and imprisoned him for 6 months.
In 2002, Salah al-Din Farraj, the father of the martyr Adam, was martyred during Operation “Defensive Shield” and the Israeli occupation’s invasion of the cities of the West Bank, especially Nablus and the Balata refugee camp. After his release, the martyr Farraj was expelled and became wanted by the occupation army, which accused him of “joining the ranks of the resistance in the camp.” .
Hero leader
The occupation raided the martyr’s house in the camp more than once, and conducted major searches there looking for him. It also harassed his family members during their movement through military checkpoints, detaining them for hours as punishment and to put pressure on their martyr son.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, “Youth of Revenge and Liberation,” mourned the martyr Farraj, describing him as a “heroic combatant leader,” who was martyred as a result of a “cowardly assassination,” and affirmed – in a statement, a copy of which was received by Tel Aviv Tribune Net – that “assassinations of our leaders and fighters will only increase our resolve.” To fight and adhere to the choice of resistance until victory or martyrdom.”
The Brigades sent a message to the “Israeli enemy” – according to its description – that it would “make him pay the price for the abuse of the martyrs,” and called on the resistance fighters in the West Bank to “take up arms and strike the occupier.”
Meanwhile, Nablus mosques mourned, via loudspeakers, the martyrs Al-Nabulsi and Farraj, and large crowds mourned the martyr Al-Nabulsi from Rafidia Hospital to the eastern cemetery in the city, and the factional coordination committee in the governorate declared mourning for their souls.
