A Palestinian youth was killed and three others were injured by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets during their raid on Al-Fawar camp in the city of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank. The occupation forces also arrested several Palestinian youths from the cities of the West Bank.

The official Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported – early Wednesday morning – that the young man Yahya Daniel Awad (29 years old) was martyred as a result of his critical injury by the occupation forces’ bullets to the chest during their storming of Al-Fawar camp on Tuesday.

Israeli army forces stormed the camp late Tuesday evening, raiding several homes, while firing live ammunition and sound bombs at citizens.

This resulted in four young men being injured by live bullets, including Awad, who sustained serious injuries to the chest, and the others who sustained moderate to minor injuries to the foot, shoulder and back.

These injured people were transferred to Yatta Governmental Hospital, before doctors later announced the death of Awad due to his critical injuries.

Local sources told WAFA that the factions declared a general strike in Al-Fawar camp today.

From time to time, the Israeli army storms Al-Fawar camp, located near the main road south of Hebron.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the city of Tulkarm, north of the West Bank, and the towns of Qatanna and Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the Shuafat camp, north of Jerusalem, and fired bullets and tear gas canisters at citizens and their homes.

Arrests

The occupation forces began arresting a number of Palestinians in the West Bank, where they arrested the head of the municipal council of the village of Kafel Haris, northwest of Salfit, after storming his home.

These forces arrested 3 young men from the Al-Atrash family after storming their homes in the Sedat Al-Fahs area south of Hebron, and raided another home there.

It also arrested 8 Palestinian youths during a raid on the Deheishe refugee camp in Bethlehem.

In conjunction with its war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army expanded its operations in the West Bank, while settlers escalated their attacks, leading to the martyrdom of 717 Palestinians, including 160 children, the injury of about 5,750 Palestinians, and the arrest of more than 10,900 citizens, according to official Palestinian institutions.
