The gendarmes who arrested him found in his hotel room the elements to make an improvised explosive device based on TATP, an extremely unstable homemade explosive, reports Le Figaro.

Money, several false passports and small arms were also found by investigators.

The terrorist trail is favored. One of the hypotheses is that the man could have wanted to attack freight bound for Ukraine departing from Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle.

The national anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office has taken up the investigation, reports TF1. The suspect’s custody can last up to 96 hours. The investigations were entrusted to the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI).

The French press calls the suspect “a pro-Russian Ukrainian” or “a suspected Russian spy”, he is a “Ukrainian national from Russian-speaking Donbass”, in eastern Ukraine.

France is delivering numerous weapons and ammunition to Ukraine to help it repel the Russian invasion, specifies La Voix du Nord. Armored vehicles, cannons but also missiles and defensive equipment. Support regularly denounced by Moscow which accuses Paris “climbing“. Russia, whose potential involvement in this operation must be demonstrated, has organized several hostile operations in recent months. Latest: fake coffins of French soldiers placed in front of the Eiffel Tower.

All this, less than two months before the opening of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where Russian and Belarusian athletes will be forced to evaluate (**under a neutral flag**)(2024 Olympics: Russian and Belarusian athletes deprived of a parade) due to Moscow’s aggression (supported by Minsk) against Ukraine.
