Storming Al-Aqsa and demolishing a house

In a related development, the Palestinian News Agency said that 632 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, protected by the Israeli police, on the seventh day of the so-called Jewish “Festival of Lights.”

The agency quoted local sources as saying that the intruders carried out provocative tours in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and performed Talmudic rituals, while the police prevented Palestinians from entering the Old City of occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

On the other hand, Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces demolished the home of a Palestinian family in the town of Al-Walaja, south of occupied Jerusalem, without prior warning.

The Quds News Network said that the house that was demolished by the occupation belonged to the Abu Rizq family, and explained that the occupation displaced the family, whose children were sitting outdoors in the bitter cold of winter.

Excavations of the Ibrahimi Mosque

In another context, the Hebron Municipality warned of the excavations and extensions carried out by the occupation forces in the Ibrahimi Mosque, and said that these measures come in the context of the occupation’s continued attempts to threaten to strip the municipality’s powers in the area.

She also confirmed that the measures are part of a large-scale Israeli plan aimed at imposing control over the place and Judaizing it, noting that the excavations and extensions represent a blatant violation of international law, as they are illegal and lack any objective or legal justification, and constitute a serious danger to the historical and religious structure of the Tomb of the Patriarchs.
