One of the Olympic Lyon fans went to the headquarters of the French Football Association before the club resumed in front of the Appeals Committee in the French League, and promised to provide the return of his car to the federation to help him stay in the first division.

Alexis is an unemployed young man and a fan of the Lyon team for about 20 years, he went to the headquarters of the French Football Association to support his club before the administration appeared in front of the French League Appeals Committee to persuade the Financial Supervision Authority to keep him in the French League, two weeks after his administrative landing to the French second division.

To achieve this, the authority demands the club with huge funds: 100 million euros in accounts, and another 100 million euros as guarantees for the next season, and although an astronomical amount, Alexis wants to contribute to it even with a small part, as it appeared in the shirt of the collection of cars collection, which was issued on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of Olympic Lyon, with a special announcement.

The advertisement included a phrase written in red and blue letters (Olympic Lyon colors) “Cars in good condition for sale, and the price is negotiable.”

In a statement to Radio “RMC Sport”, Alexis said, “Well, I no longer use my car a lot, I can sell it, why I don’t give money to the Olympic Lyon team to see if that will help the budget, it is a simple support for my team on this somewhat difficult day.”

He continued, “We do not know what may happen, we hope for a positive result, we will always support the club, whatever the circumstances, I am waiting for the answers even if the situation is positive, there will be a need for solutions for the future so that the club remains in the French league in a sustainable way so that this big club in French football can stay properly, even if we know that the next few years will be difficult.”

Lyon escapes from landing

The French Football Association – today, Wednesday, canceled the decline of the Olympic club Lyon to the second division after an appeal by the club to nullify a decision by the Financial Supervision Authority to drop it to the second degree.

The French Federation imposed an end to wages and transfer fees in the club’s proposed budget for the French First Division for the 2025-2026 season.

The new club president, Michelle Kang and General Manager Michael Gice, succeeded in persuading the supervisory body that the club has the financial capabilities necessary for the next season.

“Olympique Lyon welcomes the decision of the French Football Football Supervisory Authority – today to keep the club in the first division,” Lyon Club said in a statement.

“Olympic Leon would like to thank the Appeals Committee for its appreciation for the aspirations of the club’s new administrative team, which insists on ensuring the club’s management seriously in the future,” he added.

Lyon fell to the second division after the French Football Supervisory Authority decision last November due to the club’s bad financial status.

The decision was confirmed last June after a meeting between the American businessman, the owner of the club, John Takstad, and the Financial Supervision Authority.
