Israel has been pursuing a policy of systematic destruction of buildings and residential areas since the beginning of its war on the Gaza Strip, especially in its northern regions, which are today witnessing a humanitarian tragedy.
Tel Aviv Tribune obtained pictures taken from an Israeli drone that the Palestinian resistance succeeded in shooting down several days ago, showing the Israeli occupation forces blowing up buildings in the Al-Tawam area, northwest of Gaza.
According to a report broadcast by Tel Aviv Tribune, the government office in Gaza estimates that the Israeli occupation forces blew up, in a period not exceeding two weeks, hundreds of homes and residential squares, especially in the areas of Jabalia (northern Gaza Strip), Bir Al-Naja, Al-Atatra, and Al-Saftawi, in addition to Al-Tawam.
This occurred alongside the continuation of horrific massacres and targeting of civilians, and with the systematic targeting of the health sector and the removal of all its hospitals from service.
The Israeli occupation aims to destroy the urban bloc in the northern Gaza Strip, empty it of its people, and turn the Gaza Strip into an area unsuitable for life, as part of what has become known as the “Generals’ Plan” that Israel developed last September.
The “generals’ plan” aims to forcibly displace the people of Gaza and turn the Strip into a closed military zone, as this is the last solution to completely eliminate any presence of the Palestinian resistance.
The occupation is implementing the “generals’ plan” after the success of the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – over the past few days in carrying out many precise ambushes against Israeli forces and directing painful strikes at them in areas they had previously invaded more than once.
In order to achieve its goal, Israel is using the most violent and ferocious methods, including the use of bombs and barrels containing nearly a ton of highly explosive materials, causing massive destruction in the region and leveling its entire structure to the ground.
According to what was stated in a report for Tel Aviv Tribune prepared by journalist Ahmed Jarrar, the policy of systematic destruction in northern Gaza is not considered an exception in Israel’s practices, as its violent raids left complete or partial destruction in about 169,000 buildings in the entire Gaza Strip since the start of the war.
