A person was killed and 3 others were injured by an Israeli raid yesterday, Wednesday, in one of the towns of the Bint Jbeil district, in southern Lebanon, in a new breach of the ceasefire agreement.
The Lebanese News Agency reported that “an enemy (Israeli) path launched a missile at the courtyard of a house in the town of Beit Lev,” while the Lebanese Ministry of Health said that “the raid led to a martyr and 3 people were wounded.”
In turn, the Israeli army spokesman, Avichai Adraei, in a post on “X”, claimed that “the army targeted in Beit Lev, a member of the Radwan force of Hezbollah.”
This comes the day after the killing of two people in an Israeli raid on the southern town of Shebaa, according to the Ministry of Health, while the Israeli army said that it had killed an element in Hezbollah and another active in the “resistance companies”, which he said was “working under the direction of Hezbollah.”
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon that turned into a widespread war on September 23, 2024, which resulted in more than 4 thousand dead and about 17 thousand wounded, in addition to the displacement of about one million and 400 thousand people.
Since the ceasefire agreement on November 27, Israel has committed about 3,000 breaches, which left at least 209 dead and 504 wounded, according to a census of the Anatolia Agency based on official statements.
In a challenge to the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli army carried out a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon, while the occupation of 5 Lebanese hills controlled in the last war.
