A dead and wounded in an earthquake in western Türkiye news

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Qaya announced on Sunday evening that a person was killed and 29 were injured as a result of the earthquake that struck the western state of Balixir.

Ali Yerli Qaya said, in statements to reporters, that the victim died while he was pulled from under the rubble of a 3 -storey building in the center of Cindei, indicating that there are no critical injuries.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (Avad) said that the earthquake occurred at about 7:53 pm local time in the state of Balixir, and its strength reached 6.1 on the Richter ladder and at a depth of 11 km.

The agency added that 20 treacherous tremors ranged between 3.5 and 4.6 degrees after the earthquake.

According to the same source, the inhabitants of many cities in the west of the country, including Istanbul and Izmir, felt an earthquake.
