Eyewitnesses reported that settlers stormed the town and attacked Palestinian homes, under the protection of occupation soldiers, which led to the outbreak of clashes during which the occupation forces fired live bullets at the homes, resulting in the martyrdom of the girl.
The Israeli army claimed it fired into the air while trying to end what it called clashes between Palestinians and Israelis in Qaryut.
In the village of Burin, south of Nablus, clashes broke out this evening between young men and the occupation forces. Palestinian sources said that cases of suffocation were recorded as a result of the Israeli soldiers using gas bombs.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Israeli settlers injured a number of Palestinians with moderate bruises and wounds after assaulting them and preventing them from using a water well in the Hebron Governorate in the southern occupied West Bank.
In another attack, the official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) said that other settlers set up a tent at the Ma’in Well archaeological site in the Masafer Yatta area of Hebron, where the settlers are trying to control the place and all the archaeological sites in the entire region.
target of war
Meanwhile, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to include the West Bank among the war’s objectives.
Maariv newspaper said that Ben Gvir sent a message to Netanyahu asking him to subdue Hamas and what he called other terrorist organizations in the West Bank in light of the security escalation beyond the Green Line.
According to the newspaper, the Israeli minister spoke in the letter about an increase in Iranian activity aimed at expanding what he called the circle of terrorism, smuggling weapons into the West Bank, and carrying out bombings and other armed acts.
Ben Gvir also demanded that this demand be presented to the Ministerial Council at its next meeting and that practical and immediate mechanisms be determined for its implementation.
Ongoing process
Earlier today, the Israeli army said its military operation in the northern West Bank would continue until its goals were achieved. The occupation army added in a statement that it had killed 14 Palestinians it described as terrorists during the 10-day operation.
He also said that he destroyed explosive devices, carried out 4 airstrikes, and arrested more than 30 people, in addition to destroying what he called several terrorist structures, including underground warehouses.
The Israeli statement came shortly after the withdrawal of the occupation forces from Jenin, Tulkarm and their camps after a military operation that lasted 10 days, and left 36 Palestinian martyrs, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and widespread destruction of the infrastructure.
In a statement mourning the 13 resistance fighters who were martyred in the past few days during the Israeli attack, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that the resistance in the West Bank is fine, and threatened the occupation with surprises in the upcoming confrontations.
The Israeli army began its large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank on August 28, under the pretext of dismantling resistance cells and preventing potential attacks. The operation included the cities and camps of Jenin, Tulkarm, Tubas and Al-Far’a, where forces carried out repeated incursions and air strikes.
Since Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa, the West Bank has witnessed an Israeli military escalation that has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 691 Palestinians, the injury of 5,700, and the arrest of nearly 11,000.
