A child was killed in Hebron and Ben Gvir storms the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood News

A Palestinian child was martyred and a young man was injured on Sunday evening by Israeli army gunfire in Hebron, while the occupation forces continued their raids on West Bank cities, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and dozens of settlers stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said – in a brief statement – that the General Authority for Civil Affairs – which is an official contact point with the Israeli side – informed it of the death of the child, Majd Shaher Aramin (14 years old), by occupation bullets near the town of Sa’ir.

In this context, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent confirmed that the occupation forces shot a young Palestinian man at the Beit Aynoun junction north of Hebron, and his fate is not yet known.

Israeli Army Radio claimed that the young man tried to stab a force of soldiers at the Beit Einun intersection, and said that he was shot before he injured the soldiers.

Anadolu Agency quoted an eyewitness as saying that the occupation army was seen transporting a young man without his condition being clarified.

Earlier on Sunday, an Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent reported that two children were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets, after occupation soldiers opened fire on them at the entrance to the Arroub camp, north of Hebron.

This brings the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army in the West Bank to 519 since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, in addition to about 5,000 injured, according to Ministry of Health data.

Storms and arrests

On the other hand, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces stormed the town of Qasra in Nablus, and fired tear gas bombs in confrontations with the town’s youth.

Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and dozens of settlers stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, where the occupation forces closed the entrances leading to the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the city of Jenin and its camp, after storming them at dawn on Sunday, reinforced with more than 30 military vehicles.

Subsequently, clashes broke out between resistance fighters and the invading forces, during which the resistance detonated homemade explosive devices on the outskirts of Jenin camp. While the occupation forces bulldozed the camp’s infrastructure and streets, the rehabilitation of which was recently completed.

The Israeli army withdrew – at dawn on Thursday – from the city of Jenin and its camp after a military operation that lasted about 48 hours, resulting in 12 Palestinian martyrs, including 4 children, 12 wounded, and the destruction of infrastructure.

The Prisoners’ Club and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Authority reported – in a statement – that the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron, Jenin, and occupied Jerusalem.

Thus, the number of detainees after October 7 increased to 8,875 Palestinians.

The Israeli war, which has continued on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has left more than 116,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
