Algeria- Popular solidarity outbursts continue in Algeria with Palestine and the Gaza Strip in particular, in light of the continued Israeli aggression against the besieged Strip since October 7.
As Eid al-Adha approaches, the Al-Baraka Algerian Association for Charitable and Humanitarian Work launched a project under the slogan “Make a part of your sacrifice for the people of Palestine” to collect donations, purchase and distribute sacrificial animals and their meat to displaced, affected and needy families in the Gaza Strip.
This project, which coincides with the ritual of sacrifice, is a continuation of the “Promise in Action” campaign that the association previously launched in conjunction with Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to support the steadfastness of defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip by mobilizing material aid from inside and outside Algeria.
A message of support and stability
President of the Al-Baraka Association of Algeria, and Vice President of the Global Coalition to Support Gaza, Ahmed Ibrahimi, says that launching this campaign in conjunction with Eid al-Adha comes “to bring the joy and joy of Eid to the residents of the Gaza Strip on the one hand, and to send a message of support and steadfastness to them on the occasion of Eid, stating that their nation is with them and has not abandoned them.” about them on the other hand.”
Speaking to Tel Aviv Tribune Net, Ibrahimi confirms that this campaign aims to allow people to participate in providing Eid sacrifices in Palestine to strengthen the social incubator and continue to support the steadfastness and steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land, and to stop the Zionist enemy’s plan to expel the population from Gaza by impoverishing them and damaging their infrastructure.
He points out that Al Baraka Association’s activity in Gaza for more than 20 years gave it experience that enabled it to complete its field activity in light of this brutal aggression by establishing 64 camps and 12 shelters, to today take care of 500,000 Palestinians and provide them with all the necessities.
He adds that the Algerian Al-Baraka Association purchased many sheep and calves that were saved to be slaughtered on the day of Eid, with negotiations taking place with Egyptian merchants to purchase heads of sheep and bring them into the Gaza Strip, in addition to a third path that the Association has pursued in previous years with its partners in the world, which is to Purchasing sacrifices from India and slaughtering them there, then sending them frozen to Gaza.
Responding to calls
For his part, the head of the Al-Baraka Algerian Association’s office in Palestine, Shadi Genena, confirms that the results of the Al-Baraka Algerian Association’s solidarity campaigns with the residents of Gaza since the first day of the aggression, similar to the Eid al-Fitr campaign, have become “touched through the people’s response to it, which enabled it to continue its work and its role in supporting The Palestinian people in light of the ongoing aggression and the subsequent lack of resources and capabilities within the Strip.”
In his conversation with Tel Aviv Tribune Net, Genena considered that the various aid provided by the Al-Baraka Association through its various campaigns is a strategy that responds to the calls of needy families who have no breadwinners.
He noted the need to continue working hard and harnessing all the experience that the members have gained as a result of their work over the years in Gaza and Palestine to provide liquidity, supplies and all the basics to contribute to reducing the amount of pain that the people of Gaza are suffering as a result of the aggression.
