Al -Jazeera correspondent reported hearing the explosions yesterday evening in Kiev after a large Russian attack by drones, while Moscow spoke of a large number of Ukrainian marches.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said – in a statement – that it had been hit during the night “institutions in the military industrial complex” and “sites of Patriot anti -aircraft systems” that Washington handed over to Ukraine.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying that the Russian defenses destroyed, during 4 hours, 95 Ukrainian aircraft were heading towards Russian territory.
For its part, the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that 6 ballistic missiles and 245 Russian marches were shot down during the Russian attack. She confirmed that the capital Kyiv was the “main goal” of this attack.
The mayor and military and civil administrations in Kiev pointed to the outbreak of several fires and the fall of the wreckage of rockets and enlightenings on buildings in a large number of the city’s neighborhoods, and called on residents to commit the shelters.
On Friday evening, Russia launched wide night attacks on marches on Kiev, days after the attacks by Ukraine by drones, which numbered about 800 attacks, on targets inside Russia, including the capital, Moscow.
Prisoner exchange
These attacks came after the completion of the second stage of the exchange of a record number of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine, as the two parties announced yesterday, Saturday, the exchange of 307 prisoners from each side.
Last Friday, the first stage of the exchange included 270 soldiers and 120 civilians from each side.
On Sunday, the third stage of this exchange, which is the largest since the start of the Russian attack on Ukraine in 2022.
Strokes and fighting
On the killing fronts, the Russian army continued to advance slowly in certain areas, despite incurring significant losses, according to the French Press Agency.
On Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the control of the villages of Stopuchki and Udrani Ukrainin, in the eastern Donetsk region, which is still the center of clashes.
And more than 300 kilometers away, the ministry also announced that its forces took control of the town of Luknya in the Sumi area (northeast) bordering Russia, as Moscow said it wanted to create a buffer zone to prevent Ukrainian incursions into its territory.
