No one from outside the country rarely follows the news of the Danish Football League, but what happened last Sunday caused a “Latifa” stir after the Frenchman Maxim Solas was granted 55 kilograms of thePotatoes after choosing the best player in his team Sondrisky’s match with Nodersialaland.
“I received 55 kilograms of potatoes after my last matches,” said the 26-year-old defender, who scored the opening goal in his team’s 3-2 victory.
This is the first time that the best player in the match is a prize of this kind.
“The sponsor of the match decides the type of award. He found it funny, and now the story is spreading around the world,” the club’s media director, Jacob Raven, said.
Solas has been defending Sondriski’s colors since 2021 after joining him from the other Danish team, Fermad Amram.
