Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper revealed a state of anger among the soldiers of the Survey Unit of the Israeli General Staff, after the grant allocated to them was reduced.

The Israeli newspaper said that the grant was reduced to 2,000 shekels (about 500 dollars) instead of 4,000 (about 1,000 dollars) allocated to reserve soldiers.

Yedioth Ahronoth indicated that the survey unit is responsible for locating and transporting bodies, and collecting the remains of soldiers in Gaza.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Finance recorded a budget deficit of $6 billion last October, due to high expenses for financing the war on Gaza.

Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that the direct losses of this war amount to $246 million per day, without counting the indirect losses on the economy.
