Early today, Monday, the Israeli army carried out new incursions into the West Bank, shortly after the death of 5 Palestinians by bullets from its forces, as part of its ongoing escalation since the resistance launched the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle on October 7, while the formation of a unified military council for the resistance in the West Bank was announced.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the number of martyrs in West Bank cities had risen to 5 yesterday, Sunday, after two young men were killed by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets at the northern entrance to Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.
The Ministry said that the boy Suleiman Kanaan (17 years old) was martyred after being hit by a live bullet directly in the heart, while the occupation authorities informed the Palestinian side of the martyrdom and detention of the body of the boy Khaled Hamidat (16 years old).
The Israeli army said – in a statement – that it opened fire on two “attackers” who threw an explosive device at a military base near the city of Ramallah.
In a press statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) mourned the martyrs Khaled Hamidat and Suleiman Kanaan, according to what was reported by Palestinian media.
In Ain al-Sultan camp in the city of Jericho (east of the West Bank), the boy Louay al-Safi (16 years old) was killed by bullets of the occupation forces during their storming of the camp under the pretext of pursuing a Palestinian to arrest him.
Agence France-Presse said that Al-Safi was shot by Israeli soldiers, although no confrontations took place.
In the southern West Bank, two young men, Ahmed and Jalal Jabareen, were killed by occupation forces’ bullets near the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron.
The Israeli army said in a statement that a Palestinian car broke through a military checkpoint near the “Mitzad” settlement, and it was claimed that gunmen inside it opened fire on its forces, who responded and killed them.
This brings the number of martyrs in the West Bank since October 7 to 352.

Military council
Meanwhile, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement, announced the formation of a unified military council that will include resistance elements of various names under one command to manage battles with the occupation on all fronts.
The Al-Aqsa Brigades – on the anniversary of the passing of its founder in Palestine, Raed Al-Karmi – affirmed its continuation of armed resistance and defense of the Palestinian people.
The military wing of the Fatah movement called on the Palestinian Authority to stop pursuing and arresting resistance fighters, and to release those detained by the Authority. It also called on it to support the resistance.

Night raids
Meanwhile, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that late Sunday evening, Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank and the city of Jericho in the east.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that Israeli forces demolished a house in the Khallet Yassin area in Qalqilya after storming the city.
According to Palestinian activists, a young man was shot by occupation soldiers in Qalqilya, which is subject to repeated raids.
Also in the northern West Bank, Palestinian sources reported that settlers attacked the outskirts of Burin village, south of Nablus, and burned a car.
The night raids also included the town of Beit Rima, northwest of the city of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
In the southern West Bank, an Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent reported that Israeli forces stormed the city of Yatta, south of Hebron, from several entrances, and also stormed the towns of Beit Ummar and Al-Dhahiriya.
In addition to the martyrdom of more than 350 Palestinians, the Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 5,000 people since the start of the war on Gaza.
