Swedish football coach Sven-Göran Eriksson has announced that he has inoperable pancreatic cancer.
The 75-year-old coach also made public the fact that he likely has less than a year to live. In February last year, he had already made it known that he was limiting his outings in public due to health problems.
In 2001, Sven-Göran Eriksson became the first foreigner to manage the English national team. He was coach there until 2006, after leading his team to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
The Swedish coach has also won numerous titles with several clubs, such as Lazio in Italy, Benfica in Portugal, and IFK Göteborg in his native country.
