Increasing popular momentum in support of the Palestinian cause in Europe News

The European Palestinian Information Center (Epal) monitored the increasing popular momentum and public presence in support of the Palestinian cause in Europe, with the increasing massacres committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip.

The Center’s lens monitored more than 6,211 pro-Palestine demonstrations on the European continent, distributed across about 429 cities, in 17 European countries, which clearly indicates the momentum of popular support on the Old Continent.

These massive demonstrations were characterized by a multiplicity of colours, orientations and ethnicities, and the European presence remains remarkable through the participation of a wide spectrum of activists, media figures and European citizens who stood side by side with the Palestinian right, demanding that the leaders of the Israeli occupation be tried for crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip.

Activists said that these demonstrations are a real indicator of the vitality of the Palestinian cause, and the increase in its popularity in Europe, especially as they swept through major European capitals and cities, and were located in important vital centers such as airports, main train stations, symbolic squares, and government and parliamentary buildings, which led to the message of the people in the Gaza Strip being conveyed. Activists pointed out that the demonstrations were characterized by a factor of continuity, because what is happening in the Gaza Strip exceeds the ability of minds to bear, in addition to the factor of rallying around the flag of Palestine. Along with foreign solidarity activists, members of the Muslim, Arab and Palestinian communities participated, and it was remarkable to embody national unity among the masses. The activists also stressed that the movement will continue under the umbrella of European law and regulations, in order to mobilize more support for the Palestinian cause, bring more European positions supportive of Palestine, and demand an immediate and urgent halt to what they described as the barbaric aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the restoration of all legitimate Palestinian rights. First and foremost is the right of return.

It is noteworthy that as the Israeli aggression on Gaza entered its 96th day, the number of martyrs exceeded 23 thousand, most of whom were women and children, and about 60 thousand injured, in addition to major destruction in residential neighborhoods and cutting off electricity, water and medicine for the residents of Gaza.
