The New York Times reported on the killing of two other journalists in Gaza, one of whom was Hamza al-Dahdouh, the son of Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent Wael al-Dahdouh, noting that some journalists were killed while covering the conflict, and some when they were in their homes or seeking refuge with their families, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.
The death of some journalists – the American newspaper adds – made it difficult to obtain information about the scale of the fighting and the extent of the destruction, a problem that was exacerbated by the deterioration of communications networks and the lack of permission from Israel for foreign journalists to enter Gaza.

The article adds that it is “a raging case of comparisons, and we must remember that they are merely similes, and the war between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) will one day become a simile in itself.”
