4 Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation army gunfire during the past 24 hours, in various areas of the occupied West Bank.

Medical sources said that the young Palestinian man, Mahmoud Othman Warni, was martyred in the town of Al-Eizariya, east of occupied Jerusalem, while Amr Abu Hussein was martyred when the occupation army shot him for allegedly carrying out a ramming operation at the entrance to Wadi Al-Shajna, east of Dura, in Hebron, in the south of the West Bank.

While Israeli Channel 12 reported that 4 settlers were injured in a ramming operation south of Hebron in the West Bank, it said that Israeli soldiers opened fire on the perpetrator and killed him.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces prevented Palestinian ambulances and medical teams from advancing towards the site of the accident, and opened fire on a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance.

This comes hours after a young Palestinian man from the town of Jabal Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem was martyred, after carrying out a stabbing attack that led to the injury of two Israelis in the Border Guard police unit, at the Mazmoria checkpoint near Bethlehem yesterday evening, Thursday.

Before that, another young man from the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, was martyred after being shot by occupation forces at the tunnel checkpoint west of Bethlehem.

Injuries and cases of suffocation

On Friday evening, a number of citizens suffered from suffocation during clashes that broke out north of Hebron.

Security sources said that confrontations broke out with the occupation forces on Halhul Bridge, after they closed the northern entrance to the city of Hebron.

The sources added that the occupation forces fired tear gas at the site towards citizens and their vehicles, causing a number of them to suffocate, and clashes erupted with youths in the area.

Security sources reported that the occupation forces tightened their military measures at the two northern entrances to the city of Jericho, erecting two checkpoints at them, stopping citizens’ vehicles, and checking their occupants’ ID cards.

The occupation forces had previously opened the checkpoints surrounding the city, especially the southern and eastern ones, as the entrances to the city witnessed regular movement of citizens’ vehicles.

In addition, the occupation forces stormed the city of Hebron in the south of the West Bank, and deployed heavily on the main roads amid a power outage in large parts of the city.

As for Nablus, the occupation forces stormed the eastern region of the city, and Palestinian media reported that a large force of the occupation army, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed the Balata camp, and was stationed in several streets in the city and around the camp, and deployed its snipers on the roofs of many buildings.

Confrontations broke out between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces after they stormed the town of Arraba, south of Jenin.

Assault on worshippers

Dozens of worshipers also suffocated, on Friday afternoon, after the Israeli occupation forces attacked them, in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces suppressed the worshipers who were unable to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque, due to the strict military measures imposed on them, as they performed prayers in the Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood adjacent to the Old City of Jerusalem.

The occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, poisonous tear gas canisters, and sprayed the worshipers with chemical wastewater, as a result of which dozens suffocated.

Only 12,000 worshipers were able to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform prayers, as the occupation forces began imposing their strict military measures from the early hours of the morning by closing the gates of the mosque and preventing hundreds of citizens from entering the mosque.

Increase in the number of detainees

These developments come at a time when the Commission for Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced – in a joint statement – an increase in the number of detainees from the West Bank in Israeli prisons since the occupation began its aggression against Gaza.

The two institutions said – in the statement – that after the arrest of 6 citizens from Al-Faraa camp near the city of Tubas, the number of detainees in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, has risen to about 4,846 Palestinians.

The number of martyrs in the occupied West Bank has risen to 316 since the seventh of last October, and the number of prisoners has also risen to 4,820 Palestinians.

This tally does not include arrests carried out by Israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip, according to the same source.

The Israeli army carries out daily raids and incursions into villages and towns in the West Bank and Jerusalem, accompanied by confrontations, arrests, and the firing of bullets and gas bombs, coinciding with its aggression against the Gaza Strip.
