In the east of the Netherlands, the different branches of the Rhine overflowed causing flooding.

In other parts of the country, temporary dikes are built with large sandbags.

Farmers have already warned that poor weather conditions could affect potato and sugar beet harvests.

Several winter storms also brought heavy rain to neighboring Germany.

The situation in flooded areas in the north of the country remains tense even though the peak has passed, according to experts.

In the vicinity of Bremen, the Weser river burst its banks, flooding some houses and farms.

In Norway, however, bad weather is experienced differently.

The weather conditions transformed the roadway into an ice rink.

Also, numerous road accidents have resulted in multiple injuries.

Storm Henk is expected to reach southern Scandinavia at the end of the week.
